construction solution independently developed by OPENBUILDING for
multi-storey frame buildings. It adopts factory-manufactured steel CS
components, rapid on-site assembly, and cast-in-place concrete.
By
fully leveraging the tensile strength of steel and the compressive
strength of concrete, CS Structure delivers efficient load transfer and
significantly enhances floor load capacity. With no formwork or shoring
required, joint installation becomes faster and more convenient—helping
shorten the construction schedule, reduce on-site labor, and lower
overall project cost.


The CS frame structural system is suitable for various span and load requirements and can be widely applied to multi-storey and high-rise industrial and commercial buildings. Key Components of the CS Frame Structure
CS Column
No formwork. No shoring. Excellent fire resistance. High ductility.
1.Concrete-filled
steel tubes at the four corners provide strong axial and flexural load
capacity as well as high stiffness, while improving the seismic
performance of the member.
2.Transverse-ribbed corrugated steel plates on all four sides offer lateral confinement to the core concrete, eliminating the need for casting formwork and delivering high shear resistance.
3.The steel CS shell ensures reliable local stability and lateral load capacity, while enabling easier transportation and faster installation on site.

Compared with conventional reinforced concrete columns with the same reinforcement ratio, CS Columns deliver superior overall performance.



CS Beam
1.The outer shell is formed by corrugated web plates, resulting in a lightweight structure.
2.Built-in ducts for prestressing strands are provided, enabling post-tensioning construction.
3.After on-site lifting and positioning, concrete is cast in place, eliminating the need for high-level formwork and shoring.
4.With high stiffness and large load capacity, the CS Beam ensures fast and safe construction.

OPEN BUILDING has commissioned YJK to develop a dedicated analysis software for the CS Frame Structure. With this tool, CS Columns and CS Beams can be modeled and analyzed directly using their actual cross-sections, enabling integrated structural analysis and reinforcement design—significantly improving design efficiency.

The floor load capacity of the CS Structure can be designed to meet requirements ranging from 1 to 5 tons, depending on the project design.
Typical column grid options include: 9×9 m, 12×12 m, 12×16.5 m, 16×24 m, and 24×24 m.
